Soul Groove Radio, established in 2009 by Lee Lessells as an ancillary venture, thrived into a hit station with Soul, Funk, and Disco anthems of the 70s and 80s. The station plodded along quietly for years until Summer 2018, when it attracted a loyal listenership but could not attract presenters. As money ran low, longtime host Ray Douglass stepped up to help Soul Groove Radio as a co-owner to keep it running.
