STAR St Andrews Radio

St Andrews Radio (STAR) is St Andrews’ sole and simplest radio station. Fully pupil-run, Megastar is one of the union sub-committees and the heart of St Andrews’ student scene. STAR originally began broadcasting in February 2009 as STAR FM and currently broadcasts from 10am until 12am online at standrewsradio.com. Thanks to the monolithic backing of the University of St Andrews Students’ Association and the university itself, STAR has a huge debt to pay to its ex-rector, Sir Clement Freud, for taking the station ‘off the ground’. Thanks in large part to Steve Pidcock and Sandy Walker, students whose vision made the dream a reality for St. Andrews Radio.
