Wessex FM

Wessex FM is a local radio station that serves Weymouth, Dorchester, and Bridport in Dorset. Wessex FM radio broadcasts from its Dorchester studios, however the Big Top 40 Show is an internet program. It normally airs on 97.2FM in Weymouth and Dorchester and 96.0FM in Bridport. Wessex FM went on the air at 10 a.m. on September 4, 1993, with Roger Kennedy delivering the debut program, which featured many special guests, including veteran broadcaster Tony Blackburn.
